Rush Process One of the most important duties Alumni have is assisting the active chapters identify rushees. The association has a comprehensive rush support process. If you have candidate you wish to recommend, we suggest that you perform the following steps:
The Greater Atlanta Alumni Association will send a letter of recommendation to the respective active chapter for each rush candidate and will follow-up with the chapter to find out who from Atlanta received bids. |

Rush Candidates Throughout the year, we are identifying the best and brightest young men at the top high schools in Atlanta. If you have a son or nephew; or know of an outstanding young man who is attending a school with an SAE chapter, please tell us about him so we can invite him to attend the Ivan Allen Rush party and send the active chapter a recommendation form. Active Chapter Relations One of the challenges the active chapters have is identifying quality rush candidates and having enough one-on-one interaction for both parties. Our Chapter Captain initiative is designed to assist in knowing the active chapter leaders, their rush process, and to personally introduce Atlanta rushees to the chapter. The Atlanta rush candidates, the local chapter representatives, the chapter captains, and local SAE alumni are invited to the annual rush party. This event has been very effective over the past 65+ years in helping the young, college-bound men get a glimpse of what fraternity life, in general, is and what SAE specifically has to offer. The event provides a forum for the rush candidates, the active chapter attendees, and the alumni to discuss SAE in a low pressure setting with a goal of having them be predisposed to join SAE if they get a bid. Our chapter captain program is intended to increase the probability that the rush candidate will get a bid. |
