Greater Atlanta Alumni Association of Sigma Alpha Epsilon

Ivan Allen Rush Party

The Ivan Allen Rush Party began in 1950, with the mission of introducing graduating high school seniors to the rush officials of all the chapters in Georgia, and the surrounding states.

Eventually named for Atlanta mayor Ivan Allen, who hosted it for years in the meadow next to his home in Buckhead, this party remains legendary in ΣAE circles.

Today, it still offers an opportunity for incoming freshman to learn more about the Greek system of their chosen school, and encourages them to look closely at what makes ΣAE so special among all Greek organizations.

In recent years the Ivan Allen Rush Party has been held in the spring, at the Cherokee Town and Country Club. We always welcome alumni, and depend on their candidate recommendations to help us find potential ΣAEs from among graduating high school seniors.

If you’d like an invitation this year, please send us an e-mail to iarp@saeatlanta.com.

And please fill out the form below if you know of any candidates we should be aware of.

Thanks, and Phi alpha!
